The price of a professional installation in Spain typically ranges from €450 to €1,500. Why such a wide range? Here is a breakdown of the components:

1. Materials (flue kit)

Not all flue pipes are the same. Regulations require high-quality stainless steel.

• Double-wall pipe (insulated): Mandatory for outdoor sections or where the flue passes through combustible materials. It prevents condensation and improves the draught. Cost: €35 – €60 per metre.
• Single-wall pipe: Used only for the exposed indoor section. Cost: €15 – €25 per metre.
• Technical accessories: Inspection tees with cleaning caps, elbows, clamps and anti-downdraught chimney caps. Add around €150 – €300.

2. Specialist labour

An authorised installer does more than just “fit pipes”. They calculate the draught, ensure the system is airtight and make sure it complies with the RITE (Regulation on Thermal Installations in Buildings).

Essential technical requirements for your installation

For your stove to run like clockwork, your installation quote should cover these three essentials:

Flue outlet above the roof

This is the number-one requirement under Spanish regulations. Discharging flue gases through an external wall is generally not permitted, except in very specific circumstances and subject to strict municipal regulations. The flue gases must always be discharged above roof level to ensure particles disperse.

Outdoor air intake

Ecoforest stoves are highly efficient, but they need oxygen to burn the pellets.

• Why is it essential? If the stove draws air from the room, it can create negative pressure (leaving less air for us to breathe) or be affected by kitchen extractor fans.
• The solution: A pipe connecting the back of the stove to the outside of the home. This ensures a stable flame and greater thermal comfort.

Protecting floors and walls

If you have wooden or laminate flooring, you must install a protective base (tempered glass or steel) to prevent damage from heat or any ash that may fall when you open the door. Likewise, if the stove is installed near plasterboard or wooden walls, you must maintain a safe distance or install suitable thermal insulation.

1. Use of access platforms: If the roof cannot be accessed manually, hiring a cherry picker can add €150-300/day.
2. Aesthetic finishes: Painting the pipes to match the stove or building plasterboard enclosures to conceal ducts for ducted stoves.
