Ecoforest Participates in the Reforestation of Nigrán: One More Step Towards a Sustainable Future

Reforesting the Future: 200 Trees for Nigrán

Last December, 50 Ecoforest employees joined the Nigrán forestry brigade to plantr 200 native trees, including chestnut, walnut, oak, arbutus, yew, pradairo or cherry, in an area spanning 3.000 m². This initiative was carried out in a new 42-hectare forest park,, created in an area affected by the 2017 forest fires. With each tree planted, we reaffirm our commitment to sustainability and the restoration of natural environments.

Learning Sustainable Techniques

In addition to contributing to reforestation with native species, our colleagues had the opportunity to learn about the technique of fungus inoculation in eucalyptus stumps.. This natural method helps reduce the regrowth of this invasive species and promotes sustainable forest regeneration. This practice reinforces Ecoforest’s commitment to biodiversity and the preservation of local ecosystems.

The event was organized in collaboration with the Nigrán City Council and was attended by the mayor, Juan González, and the head of the municipal forestry brigade, Carla Pérez, demonstrating the value of collaboration between institutions and companies.
