How much can we save with an air source heat pump?

Many people have had to adapt to the pandemic by transforming their homes into offices. The fatigue caused by working from home is accentuated in the hottest days, especially now that summer is coming. Because of this, many are thinking of putting air conditioning in your home to work more comfortably. If you are one of them, we would like to talk about aerothermal, an air conditioning system available to anyone, with which you will save money and also protect the environment.

Advantages of aerothermal heat pumps

The aerothermal heat pump is an air conditioning system that extracts energy from the ambient air and transports it from one room to another to regulate the temperature of your home. Thus, it heats your rooms on cold days, cools them on hot days and provides domestic hot water every day of the year (only air-water aerothermal systems, explained below).

This air-conditioning system has multiple benefits. One of them is its high energy efficiency. The energy these pumps need to operate is four times less than the energy they produce. In fact, it consumes much less energy than conventional heating systems, which translates into significant savings on electricity bills.

Saving with aerothermal energy: a proven fact

Air source heat pumps save the consumer a lot of money and, at Ecoforest, we have been able to prove it with the experience of our own customers.  In 2019, Ecoforest had the opportunity to install an aerothermal pump in a single-family home in Segovia.

One year later, the homeowners saw how their electricity bill had been reduced by more than 60%. This is just one example of the number of customers who are happy to replace their conventional air conditioning system with aerothermal pumps.

Apart from being economical, aerothermal heat pumps are an environmentally friendly system, using renewable energy and respecting the environment. If you use the aerothermal pumps, in addition to helping your pocket, you also help the planet earth by reducing CO2 emissions.

It is also a heating system that will not give you many problems, as it is very safe, very easy to install and with very low maintenance costs.

Types of aerothermal pumps

In the market you can find air-to-air or air-to-water aerothermal heat pumps, depending on their operation. Both offer both heating and cooling. In Ecoforest, you can find a wide range of water-water aerothermal pumps, this type of aerothermal is the most efficient and complete for any installation.

Air-to-air

Generally, air-to-air heat pumps, also commonly known as air conditioning, are the most used and best known. To air-condition the house, the pump takes the heat, exchanges heat with the outside air and blows cold or hot air according to the needs of the house. In this case, it is not possible to heat domestic hot water or heat through emission systems such as radiators or underfloor heating because the emission of heat or cold is only done by air.

Air-to-Water

These air-water heat pumps are highly efficient. These aerothermal equipment take the energy from the outside environment and transmit it to a water heating or cooling circuit where a thermal exchange takes place that heats or cools the inside of the house, in addition to heating domestic hot water. This type of aerothermal is the most efficient on the market, achieving yields of up to 500%, in addition, its installation is very simple and can use emission systems already installed, in case of renovation, such as underfloor heating, radiators or fan coils.

Both aerothermal pumps offer you the ideal air conditioning for your home, economical, efficient and ecological.

If you want to see firsthand the many advantages of aerothermal pumps, we recommend that you contact us as soon as possible to inform you of everything you need to process the installation. In Ecoforest we have several models of aerothermal pumps, each designed for a type of housing. If you want to know which of our products best suits you and what would be its price, do not hesitate to contact us.
