Significant CO2 reductions in Horseshoe Lake

isoenergy has installed a number of heat pump systems for developments surrounding a carp fishing lake set within the Cotswold Water Park (UK). The aim was to come up with the best solution whilst ensuring low running costs and significant CO2 reductions.

In this project a 40kW Ecoforest water source heat pump was intalled connected to 1,200m of collector pipework submerged within the lake. The plant room consists of a 500L hot water cylinder and a 500L buffer tank to provide a complete heating and hot water solution throughout the year.

According to isoenergy, the buildings on the site have CO2 emissions 65-70% lower than if they were using fossil fuel systems with running costs equally improved.

Currently, Ecoforest is the leading company in the market with the widest range of pellet stoves and boilers. In 2012, Ecoforest decided to bet in another innovative technology and launched its first ground source heat pump to the market, being the only Spanish manufacturer of this product and the most specialized in inverter technology on the planet.

The R&D department of Ecoforest continues to innovate every day, in order to develop more advanced and more efficient products. Currently Ecoforest products can be found in more than 30 countries around the world.
