Our major investment for 2018 was the creation of a new headquarters to accommodate new production chains, a larger laboratory, a product showroom, and an expanded office space to increase the number of jobs.
Of course, since it was our own headquarters, we wanted to emphasize the HVAC system to be used, integrating much of the technology we manufacture into this building.
To achieve this, Ecoforest’s Technical Department collaborated with other companies in the sector such as “Inpoclima” or “Sogeman” for the complete installation of the system.
Background
Ecoforest was founded in 1959 by José Carlos Alonso with the vision of developing innovative products that are both economically and environmentally friendly, with the intention of making the world a better place.
Today, more than 50 years later, Ecoforest is the technological leader in the heating sector, with solutions based solely on clean and natural energy.
Thanks to the national and international growth of the company in recent years, Ecoforest has been forced to expand its facilities once again. This new building is an example of the integration of different technologies, sustainability, and energy efficiency.
Description of the installation
As expected, the Ecoforest installation is quite unique. We start with the collection system, where the building’s own cistern is used as a collection system for the heat pumps.
The temperature of the cistern remains around 15°C throughout the year.
In addition, the ecoSMART e-manager controller is also present in this installation for the joint operation of the heat pumps using the surplus generated by the 80 kW photovoltaic panels on the roof.
Finally, the installed power is a total of 200 kW using two ecoGEO HP3 25-100 kW heat pumps for the office and laboratory space. The factory is air-conditioned for free when there is a surplus in photovoltaic panels.
