United Kingdom: St Stephen's church, Lympne

Last years the use of heat pumps has been extended for the climatization of Churches in the United Kingdom. Within all the examples that we can find we have selected the case of the Church St Stephen's Church, in England.

This church, built from stone during the 11th century, underwent several extensions in the following three hundred years with a North tower and later a South tower being completly rebuilt. In 1880 the first restoration was realized by the architect James Pearson Albin.

In 2015, a new change in the Church began to be managed, in this case the aim was to reduce the heating costs that were growing ever larger due to the use of old oil boilers, radiators and bad insulation. To solve this problem and to have a more efficient system, an Ecoforest ecoGEO B1 5-22 kW EH heat pump together with new underfloor heating was installed, providing the church with heating and sanitary domestic hot water.

Spain: E-domus project

E-domus has been a cooperative project managed by Hauser Gestion and designed by the architecture studio Carrillo Arquitectos I Forma y Espacio, led by the architect Jose María Carrillo Rodriguez who has formed a technical direction with the architect Juan Ramon Fanjul Morales. The work was carried out by the construction company Avintia Construcciones y Proyectos, who chose to incorporate the latest ecoGEO ground source heat pumps into the installation. Thanks to our collaboration with Groen Energia Geotermica, who promoted and carried out the installation with our equipment, the end result was fantastic.

Portugal: Parque Serra da Lousã Hotel

The reception of the Parque Serra da Lousa hotel located in Miranda do Corvo uses our Venecia ducted air pellet stove to warm their guests as soon as they arrive at the hotel.

The attractiveness of this pellet stove, with a decorative front in bamboo and a black tempered glass, makes it ideal for those places where besides rewarding comfort, design is also important.

Andorra: Mountain Bungalows

An awesome installation at a camping site in Andorra, where each bungalow is equipped with one of our Basic pellet stoves. Due to the high altitude which they are located, the working pressures that these stoves have to endure is atypical, for this reason the Ecoforest technical team had to develop a special configuration for its project.

This is only possible because Ecoforest fully designs and develops our own equipment, including the electronic board and its software. Thus we manage to adapt our products to the demands of the installation, achieving impossible installations with exceptional performances.

Spain: Rural hotel Los Argüellos

Inside the Hotel Rural los Argüellos there is a restaurant with a patio in the middle. Temperatures in this beautiful area can get very low during the winter, now the building has a floor heating system with propane gas, but the owners decided to supplement this system with a pellet stove.

By installing a Moon cooker, they give the dining room a feeling of comfort and warmth as well as provide great energy and economic savings. The 7 kW moon stove is ideal for the countryside and also has a funnel of 11 kg which provides long periods without having to charge the fuel.

In 2012, Ecoforest decided to bet in another innovative technology and launched its first ground source heat pump to the market, being the only Spanish manufacturer of this product and the most specialized in inverter technology on the planet.

The R&D department of Ecoforest continues to innovate every day, in order to develop more advanced and more efficient products. Currently Ecoforest products can be found in more than 30 countries around the world.
