Testvérhegy Project first phase

This project located in Testvérhegy in Budapest consists of two different construction phases. A first phase as per described below, consisting on 75 apartments and a second phase of 98 apartments.

In this project it was decided to install ground source heat pumps because it is the most efficient system of HVAC using renewable energy and being able to produce heating, cooling, passive cooling and DHW.

Hacienda Doña Juana - Hybrid collection

Located in La Fortuna de Rivas-Vacia Madrid, it is very close to the centre of Madrid. The urbanization consists of a total of 92 single-family houses with the possibility of 3 or 4 rooms. It also has a common area with places designed for sports and recreation. The system installed is new in Spain, being the first installation in our country where it is combined a collecting system hybrid between air source and ground source. The installation use radiant and cooling floor for heating and cooling.

Spain: Single-family house with air source heat pump

Today, more and more people are looking to change their traditional heating systems for one that is more efficient and environmentally friendly. In this example we show you a case of change a diesel boiler for an air source heat pump . The air source heat pump is a very efficient and renewable system that uses the energy of the environment to heat or cool the house, as well as to heat the domestic hot water. This is why it is considered a system based on renewable energies. Thanks to the use of energy from the outside air, efficiencies of 300% to 400% are achieved, which means big savings in the heating bill.

In order to reduce their high energy costs, the owner of this house decided to install an EcoGEO HP3 12-40kW heat pump. The system uses aerothermal capture, and distribution was achieved through a combination of underfloor heating and fancoils. Currently the heat pump is only needed to cool the house, but after the first few months of operation, the results are already exceptional. The SPF of the system is 6.2, a sensational figure considering the high outside temperature of the place where it is located.

The Ecoforest group was founded in Vigo in 1959 at the hands of its owner and founder Jose Carlos Alonso Martínez, specializing in the heating sector. In 1993, Ecoforest became the first European manufacturer of pellet hydro stoves, bringing to the market a new, ecological and economic product.

Currently, Ecoforest is the leading company in the market with the widest range of pellet stoves and boilers. In 2012, Ecoforest decided to bet in another innovative technology and launched its first ground source heat pump to the market, being the only Spanish manufacturer of this product and the most specialized in inverter technology on the planet.

The R&D department of Ecoforest continues to innovate every day, in order to develop more advanced and more efficient products. Currently Ecoforest products can be found in more than 30 countries around the world.
