Ecoforest’s commitment to R290 is strengthened with the launch of its new air-source heat pump: the ecoAIR+<\/sup> 6-24 PRO. With an improved design, quieter and with a wide range of operations, the ecoAIR+<\/sup> 6-24 PRO heat pump is designed to meet the needs of domestic and commercial installations, reaching 144 kW in cascade configuration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2021 Ecoforest became a pioneer in the use of the natural refrigerant R290 by launching the widest range of air-source heat pumps with R290<\/strong>. Now, with the introduction of the third generation of heat pumps with R290, it is expanding its offer with the new ecoAIR+<\/sup> 6-24 PRO model, which offers a modulable power from 6 to 24 kW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

R290<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The natural refrigerant R290 is key to Ecoforest’s commitment to the future. This refrigerant has a 700 times lower impact on global warming compared to synthetic refrigerants<\/strong> (Global Warming Potential), which is why it has been consolidated as the European Union’s commitment to the future. This launch reinforces Ecoforest’s leadership, which is a pioneer in the introduction of geothermal heat pumps with R290.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ecoforest control software<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to the Ecoforest control software and Inverter technology, this heat pump is able to adapt to the needs of the installation at all times and shows a great capacity for modulation. The pump includes one of the unique features of the Ecoforest range: the Dynamic Defrost Cycle (DDC) system<\/strong>, which increases the power of air-source heat pumps by avoiding the need to stop the compressor while defrosting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the ecoAIR+<\/sup> 6-24 PRO heat pumps also include the energy manager in-built which offers the unique control capabilities of the Ecoforest software<\/strong>. Thanks to this technology, the heat pump offers exceptional photovoltaic (PV) hybridisation capabilities by not consuming energy from the grid when in a photovoltaic surplus situation. On the contrary, this surplus is stored in the form of thermal energy, allowing the home to move closer to self-consumption while meeting heating, cooling, DHW or pool heating needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Versatility and efficiency<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The casing design has been improved to facilitate outdoor integration and reduce noise. Thanks to the use of R290, the heat pump can reach flow temperatures above 70\u00b0C, which makes it ideal for both new construction projects and renovation of homes with radiators<\/strong>, without the need to change the emitters. The wide range of indoor modules (CM Lite, CM, HK-Compact-EH-S\u2026) allows the design of compact, efficient installations adapted to the singularities of each building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cascade configuration<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The ecoAIR+<\/sup> 6-24 PRO air-source heat pump can be installed in cascades of up to 6 units with a single indoor unit, which saves cost and installation time. The common management and modulation system from the lowest powers increases the lifetime of the compressors and allows modulation up to 144 kW of power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the incorporation of this new model, Ecoforest’s range of R290 air-source heat pumps consists of the following units:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
