in the <strong>historic quarter of Leintz-Gatzaga<\/strong>, has been transformed into a <strong>highly energy-efficient sustainable hotel<\/strong> following its reopening in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Led by brothers Xabier and Iker P\u00e9rez Gazta\u00f1aga, the project proves that a <strong>protected heritage property <\/strong>can be successfully<strong> adapted to modern standards<\/strong> without compromising its <strong>architectural value<\/strong>. Due to the <strong>timber structure and the building\u2019s heritage protection<\/strong>, installing underfloor heating was not a viable option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The solution was provided by Sunthalpy with its<strong> Sunthaldress system<\/strong>, which allows thermal emitters to be integrated into walls and ceilings using plasterboard partitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This system offers several key advantages for retrofit projects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><p><strong>Low-temperature operation<\/strong> (18\u201330 \u00b0C), optimising heat pump performance<\/p><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><p><strong>No noise or air drafts<\/strong><\/p><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><p><strong>Full aesthetic integration<\/strong> (invisible emitters)<\/p><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The result is uniform thermal comfort without altering the building\u2019s original architecture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The installation also includes a smart control system managing <strong>19 independent climate zones<\/strong>, optimising energy consumption based on real hotel occupancy.
