HVAC needed to manage <strong>large, fluctuating thermal loads<\/strong> while maintaining <strong>air quality, acoustic comfort<\/strong> and<strong> stable temperatures<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The system also had to operate continuously, respond to <strong>dynamic occupancy and passenger flows<\/strong>, and allow for future scalability and renewable energy integration. Flexibility and reliability were critical for a <strong>high-traffic, multi-functional transport hub<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Smart zoning and part-load efficiency for large-scale infrastructure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Prague\u2013Bubny installation highlights the versatility of ground-source heat pump technology in complex infrastructure projects. <strong>Three ecoGEO<sup>+<\/sup> HP units operate with ground-source collection<\/strong> to provide heating and cooling across all station areas, using variable-speed compressors and <strong>cascade operation<\/strong> to optimise part-load performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Energy is captured through <strong>25 horizontal ground loops<\/strong> installed beneath the track superstructure,<strong> each 150 long<\/strong>, complemented by <strong>recovered waste heat <\/strong>from railway signalling systems <strong>and air\/water heat exchangers<\/strong>.
