Spain: Industrial estate A Granxa

In the month of July 2017, a 270 kW geothermal installation was carried out in the A Granxa Industrial Estate using 3 ecoGEO HP3 High Power heat pumps. Until the day, within the Galician Autonomous Community, this is the biggest geothermal project with ecoGEO heat pumps.

It is a complete geothermal system for the central buildings of the A Granxa Business Park. The set, consisting of a cascade of three ecoGEO HP3 heat pumps, provides heating, cooling and sanitary hot water. All this is possible thanks to its borehole system consisting of 24 wells with a depth of 140 meters each. Therefore, more than 3.5 kilometers of pipes are arranged to conduct the fluid, in this case water with ethylene glycol.

With seasonal performance yields (SPF) greater than 5, it is demonstrated that industrial geothermal energy, where demands are high, is one of the best solutions in terms of efficiency and profitability.

Spain: Showorking Rivas

At Ecoforest we are open to innovative ideas and therefore we decided to collaborate in this project carried out in the Community of Madrid. This building of industrial origin has been completely redesigned applying techniques as constructive as air conditioning and control facilities to achieve a unique building. All this following the Passivhaus criteria to obtain this accreditation.

Within this project the role of Ecoforest is vital, since it uses an ecoGEO heat pump with hybrid uptake using wells and an AU12 Air Unit. An e-manager for the photovoltaic hybrid between the ecoGEO heat pump and the latest technology panels located outside the building has also been incorporated into the installation.

Hungary: Historic museum in Hegyvidék

In Budapest we can find the Zugligeti Lóvasút building heated with ecoGEO heat pumps. The construction of this building dates from the late nineteenth century, being at first the final railway station on horseback. Later, it would end up becoming a simple stop that included in its interior other types of services within the facilities, such as a post office. Finally in 1977 it loses all its functionality and is abandoned.

After several attempts, a reconstruction project is finally approved and the building becomes a museum with coffee shop and restaurant. Two high-power Ecoforest geothermal heat pumps were installed to service this building: ecoGEO HP1 12-40 kW and ecoGEO HP3 15-70 kW.

Spain: Pellet boiler Cantina Nova

Curious installation made in Barcelona where it was decided to make a wooden plant room in the courtyard attached to the main house. This "technical room" includes all the elements of the installation, the boiler model Cantina Nova  next to the DHW tank and the gas outlet.

Thanks to the wifi access compatible with all Ecoforest devices, the user can switch on, switch off and even modify all the parameters of the boiler. This allows you to control the boiler comfortably from your home.

Scotland: Dairy farm

This interesting project is a combination of different renewable energies, including in the installation a wind turbine, a biomass boiler and three ecoGEO heat pumps. The objective of the project was to deliver an efficient and renewable energy solution within a dairy farm with more than 750 cattle.

The function of both the biomass boiler and the heat pumps is the drying of recycled manure solids that are used in the same farm as bedding, a practice known as "Green Bedding". For this, heat is supplied through a closed water system through two radiators and then the air is channeled through the drying floor.

In addition to using an air turbine for the production of electricity, the system is even more efficient because during the days with wind production, the whole acts totally outside the electricity grid.

Over Ecoforest

De Ecoforest groep is ontstaan in Vigo (Spanje) in 1959 door toedoen van de eigenaar en oprichter Mr. Jose Carlos Alonso Martínez, gespecialiseerd in de verwarmingssector. In 1993 werd Ecoforest de eerste Europese producent van pellet hydrokachels; een nieuw, ecologisch en economisch product in de markt.

Momenteel is Ecoforest het leidende bedrijf in de markt met het grootste assortiment pelletkachels en boilers. In 2012 besloot Ecoforest in te zetten op een andere innovatieve technologie en lanceerde zijn eerste geothermische warmtepomp in de markt, de enige Spaanse producent van dit product en de meest gespecialiseerde in inverter-technologie ter wereld.

De R&D afdeling van Ecoforest blijft dagelijks innoveren om meer geavanceerde en nog efficiëntere producten te ontwikkelen. Momenteel zijn Ecoforest producten te vinden in meer dan 30 landen over de hele wereld.
