Actualmente est\u00e1 em constru\u00e7\u00e3o a nova sede do Instituto de F\u00edsica de Londres (IOP), com uma superficie total de 1560 metros quadrados, repartidos entre escrit\u00f3rios, audit\u00f3rio, galeria de exposi\u00e7\u00f5es e um espa\u00e7o aberto ao p\u00fablico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Devido \u00e1s caracter\u00edsticas pouco comuns desta constru\u00e7\u00e3o, este projecto foi um desafio interessante. As bombas de calor ecoGEO distribuem calor e frio simultaneamente com pot\u00eancias de 61kW e 91kW respectivamente. A capta\u00e7\u00e3o geot\u00e9rmica tamb\u00e9m t\u00eam uma peculariedade, ao incluir um permutador de placas que permite reduzir a profundidade dos furos geot\u00e9rmicos de 150 metros para 75 metros. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Neste projecto tamb\u00e9m outras tecnologias amigas do ambiente est\u00e3o projectadas, como pain\u00e9is fotovoltaicos e um telhado verde que armazena e drena a \u00e1gua da chuva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
